Humble Beginnings

We started out as a local hub of about 8 young women, who were originally organized under a national climate group by the name of YCAT (Youth Climate Action Team). About a week later, the team announced that they would be dissolving due to internal conflicts, and we were left to our own devices, extremely disappointed. Luckily enough, this was not the end of our hopes. Our Admin lead and co-founder Gwenith Moritz, proposed that we continue with the team, to which everyone was undoubtedly on board with. As of now, we have a little over 20 members driven to tackle the issue of climate change in our community and bring about environmental justice for all.

What We Do

Advocacy

In order to achieve our goals of introducing environmental friendly information to local schools, churches, businesses, and the community, we rely greatly on advocating for climate change and representing the power of youth voices in our county. All around the county, we are striving to spread the awareness and get the community involved and motivated to make serious change. Whether it be at Farmer's Markets, in front of grocery stores or at local trails, we will be there to support and uplift as we drive forward our beliefs to heal and make aware the environmental crisis.

Support

Our small organization thrives off of support from not only citizens of our community, but local officials and government leaders. In order to fully achieve environmental justice, we ask for all the support we can get to ensure our message is taken seriously. We are a non-profit, so when we ask for your support, we ask to educate yourself and others, connect with our community and take advantage of the resources and events we provide.
